Marcia Witt has an extensive background in automated library systems and services and over eighteen years of experience in the areas of web development and online education. She has previously served as a senior producer with Michigan State University’s Virtual University Design and Technology team and as a senior consultant and training specialist for Courtland Consulting. Since 1996, she has contracted services independently through her then company wittmarc and since 2009 through Marick Learning Services, providing training and web development for a variety of public and private sector clients. Marcia is professional memeber of the Association of Talent Development and an active presenter, most recently speaking on learning topics for MFSC and ERICSA’s 2016 conferences, and on using implementation science theory for training application for the upcoming WICSEC conference in Anchorage Alaska September 2017.

As former web coordinator at Ferris State University Rick Bearden has several years of experience finding and developing web-based solutions. Many of his projects have involved designing databases to store information and writing code to retrieve, organize, display and edit the information. He has also served as a web developer for several online learning projects hosted by the Maryland State Department of Education. He co-authored an Electronic Resource Manager using MySQL and PHP which was presented at the 2010 Computers in Libraries conference in Washington, D.C. and is available an open source option through Creative Commons. Emily Mitchell was formerly the Educational Technologies Librarian at Ferris State University and works part-time as a programmer for Marick Learning Services. She received her MLS from Indiana University in 2008 and has been creating tutorials, coding library web applications, and teaching library instruction sessions ever since. With Rick Bearden, she co-authored a library tutorial content manager using MySQL and PHP which was presented at the 2011 Computers in Libraries conference in Washington, D.C.
